Welcome to Happy Windows

We are glad you are staying at Happy Windows. We want you, our neighbors, and the guests after you to enjoy this place. Therefore, we ask you to carefully review the agreements below. The main booker is responsible for ensuring that the entire party and any visitors adhere to them.

GUESTS AND VISITORS

• The main booker is at least 21 years old and stays in the cottage themselves for the entire duration of the reservation.

• A maximum of 4 registered guests stay at Forest Cabin Hazel.

• A maximum of 5 registered guests stay at Forest Cabin Moss, of whom a maximum of 4 are adults.

• Only registered guests are allowed to stay overnight. If you wish to receive visitors, please discuss this with Happy Windows in advance.

• Parties, events, and gatherings are not permitted.

• Unregistered guests or visitors may be refused entry and any additional costs may be passed on.

PEACE AND RESPECT FOR THE SURROUNDINGS

• The cottages are situated on a green bungalow park with other holiday homes in the vicinity. Please be considerate of local residents, other guests, and nature.

• It must be quiet outside from 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Music, loud conversations, and other audible noise outside are not permitted during this time.

• Fireworks are not allowed.

• A maximum of 2 cars may be parked at the accommodation, in the designated spaces.

• Do not charge an electric car, bicycle, scooter, or other vehicle using a socket in the cottage or an extension cord. Use only official charging facilities for this purpose, unless Happy Windows has given prior written permission.

SMOKING, COOKING AND FIRE

• Smoking, vaping, and using drugs are not permitted inside.

• Smoke detectors and other safety devices must never be removed, covered, or disabled.

• In the event of smoking or vaping indoors, or tampering with a smoke detector, the main booker owes an immediately payable fine of €500. Higher demonstrable cleaning, repair, or other damages may be recovered in addition.

• Grilling, fondue, and deep-frying are not permitted indoors. Also, do not use your own air fryer or similar appliance due to the risk of odor, grease, and fire.

• Barbecuing is permitted outdoors, provided it is done safely, is constantly supervised, and does not cause a nuisance. Candles, fire pits, and other open fires are not permitted outdoors.

• In case of drought, increased wildfire risk, code orange or red, or a warning or ban issued by the safety region, fire department, municipality, or park, no barbecue or other open fire may be used outdoors.

• The wood stove in Forest Cabin Moss and the closed wood stoves of an additionally booked hot tub and sauna may only be used according to the instructions provided and as long as use is not expressly prohibited.

PETS

Pets are not allowed, not even those belonging to visitors.

HOT TUB AND SAUNA

Did you book the wellness package? Then please read the manual before first use and follow the instructions carefully. This is important for your safety and to prevent damage.

• The hot tub must be sufficiently filled with water before lighting the heater. Never light the heater when the hot tub is empty or insufficiently filled, and do not drain the water while the heater or the water is still hot. This can cause severe and permanent deformation of the hot tub.

• Follow the instructions for filling, stoking, temperature, air supply, and shutting off exactly. Never leave a burning or still hot stove unattended.

• Check the temperature before and during each use. Never exceed the maximum temperature stated in the instructions. Heating to too high a temperature, using for too long, or continuing to use while experiencing physical symptoms is not permitted.

• Use only the designated dry wood. Do not gather wood in the forest and do not burn waste, treated wood, or other materials.

• Children may only approach or enter the hot tub and sauna under the constant supervision of an adult.

• Use the hot tub and sauna responsibly and not when your health, medication use, alcohol or drug use, or medical advice makes it unwise. Stop immediately if you feel unwell or develop skin problems.

• Use is at your own risk. You are responsible for a safe temperature, responsible duration of use, adequate cooling and hydration, and following all instructions.

DURING AND AFTER THE STAY

• Treat the cottage, the inventory, and the surroundings with care.

• Leave indoor furniture and inventory inside. Return any moved furniture to its original place before departure and use facilities only for their intended purpose.

• Commercial photoshoots, film shoots, workshops, sales activities, and subletting are only permitted after prior written permission.

• Report any damage, defects, unsafe situations, or anything else that is not in order immediately during your stay. This allows us to prevent further damage and resolve the problem where possible.

• Leave the cottage broom-clean upon departure, return used crockery clean, and dispose of waste separately in the designated area.

• For direct bookings, a deposit of €250 applies. This is paid at the time of booking and refunded no later than 14 days after departure, after deduction of any damage, fines, missing inventory, or exceptional extra cleaning.

KEYS, LEFT BEHIND ITEMS AND ACCESS

• Report the loss or damage of a key immediately. Necessary costs for replacement, a locksmith, a new lock, or assistance with being locked out may be charged.

• We will return items left behind upon request and at your expense and risk. Unclaimed items may be donated or disposed of after 3 months. Happy Windows is not liable for property left behind.

• In the event of fire, leakage, danger, serious nuisance, or necessary emergency maintenance, Happy Windows or a manager may enter the cottage. In other necessary cases, we will announce this in advance and coordinate as much as possible.

FOREST, NATURE AND AMENITIES

• A stay in a wooded environment involves natural conditions such as insects, pollen, resin, falling branches, and sometimes uneven or slippery terrain.

• Wi-Fi, water, electricity, and external park facilities may be temporarily unavailable or have limited availability. A brief outage or an outage beyond the reasonable control of Happy Windows does not automatically entitle you to a refund.

• In the event of a wildfire risk, extreme weather, storm damage, a government measure, or evacuation, instructions from Happy Windows, park management, and competent authorities must be followed immediately.
